Safekeeping
by Rob Zellers
Directed by Adam Sanders
Joe and his younger brother Robert live off the grid in a run-down, inner-city neighborhood. Robert has cerebral palsy. Joe is an artist. They are in perfect control of their world until they are discovered by social services and into their lives comes Marianne, a bright and ambitious young therapist. Can art and imagination fuel the life spirit?

An evening spent with comedian Bob Baden always promises to be offbeat; whether bonding with a new family pet by drinking from a toilet together or slumping an unconscious dry cleaner into the trunk of a rental, Baden is a man who lives for the moment things go wrong. Throw in a few original songs, shake and season to taste with a severed head and you’ve got PIVOT; Bob Baden’s hilarious new, one-man-show about changing your mind. How could you not just fall in love?
The creator of Emerson College’s Swolen Monkey Showcase, an alumni of Boston’s improv grande dame Guilty Children and a frequent collaborator of The Other White Meat, Bob Baden once again teams up with director Ellen Groves and Musical Director P.J. Shapiro to peak under the skirt of personal accountability and report back. The results are in and Baden’s spin is simple; do as he says and everything will be just fine.

Please join us for this unique staged reading of Thornton Wilder’s classic portrayal of the cycle of life and death as directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian, a collaboration with Underground Railway Theater, a company in-residence at Central Square Theater. Acts One and Two of Our Town will take place in Story Chapel; the final act will take place in the landscape. Experience the conversation between these two American masterpieces – the play and the place.
Please note: Act 3 will be held outside, except in case of extreme weather. There is a short walk involved. Please dress accordingly for cold or light rain.
