Available now for touring!
Youth Underground (YU) is an ensemble that creates and performs original theater that investigates social issues relevant to young people, and inspires them to make a difference in their communities. In partnership with Lemelson-MIT, playwright Betsy Bard created Inventing Samanta. The play follows a group of very different high school students coming together to learn about the process and creativity of becoming an inventor and why – despite age, identity, or background – everyone can be an inventor.
Touring performances of Inventing Samanta:
- Are performed by YU Ambassadors (ages 19-25)
- Run approximately 60 minutes, including the play and an interactive discussion between the performers and the audience
- Can take place at Central Square Theater in Cambridge, or at your site
- Are available from January – February 2025
- Are best suited for students in grades 5-9.
