Jo Michael Rezes (they/them/theirs) is a Boston based director, performer, and scholar. Jo is a graduate of Vassar College, and a current Ph.D. student in Theatre and Performance Studies at Tufts University. Their current research centers ethnographic explorations of queer time ruptures in performance spaces, disintegration of the body in camp theatre, Theatre of Cruelty, Epic Theatre, and 20th century performance praxis. Recent directing credits include The Importance of Being Earnest: a queer adaptation (The Experimental Theatre at Vassar College), Melancholy Play: a chamber musical (Powerhouse Theatre), and School (Boston Theatre Marathon), and Cloud 9 (AD, Nora Theatre Company).
