Title: Front of House Associate
Schedule: Part-time, Seasonal
Reports to: Front of House Coordinator

Associates will be an integral part of the flow and traffic of our guests during walk-in, late seating, and intermission. Associates are responsible for greeting guests, scanning tickets, and can also be considered for a position working the theater’s concessions. The Concessions role is responsible for opening and closing of our concessions stand, ensuring the safety of folx who are purchasing alcohol and the swift for of our walk-in and intermissions, while upholding the Federal, State, and City laws for Beer and Wine being sold.

Duties include*:

1. Setting up and ensuring the cleanliness of the lobby, restrooms, and theater
2. During walk-in Ambassadors will be scanning tickets and directing guests to the restroom, concessions, lobby, or theater
3. Assist with late seating, and show duties
4. If an intermission is happening, the ambassador will:
  1. When required, assist concessions during that time or
  2. Ensure guests are not touching stage props and flow is happening throughout the space
5. An Associate working Concessions will:
  1. Operating an Ipad with the POS system Square.
  2. Product and money handling.
  3. Restocking product, letting the Front of House Coordinator know if we are low or out of items.
  4. Counting inventory on Sundays.

As every show is different, the requirements and responsibilities for each position may shift.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be willing to learn great customer service skills, the ability to maintain calm under pressure, and possess an appreciation for theatre. TIPS or SERVE SAFE certification is required, and will be provided if not possessed. Bystander Intervention and Harassment training will be provided.

This is a part time position. While flexibility is a guarantee, night and weekend availability is a necessity. All candidates are expected to attend our Front of House meetings and dress rehearsals that take place the Wednesday before an opening and supply a minimum of two-three shifts per week of availability. We do also have the occasional student matinee, so please mention if you have weekday morning availability, specifically Tuesday-Thursday.
