Title: Front of House Manager
Schedule: Part-time, Seasonal
Reports to: Front of House Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities
While working with the rest of the Front of House team and Stage Management, the House Manager is responsible for the opening and closing of our lobby and theater during productions, ensuring the safety and smooth flow of our walk-in, intermission, and walk-outs.
Duties include:

Ensuring our Ambassadors and Ushers have all their tools to make the best possible experience for our theater goers including charged scanners and walkies

Setting up the lobby and opening on-time, one hour before a show.

Be in communication with Stage Management about:

Lobby Open
-
Start of Show / Late seating
-
Any post-show events
-

Assist patrons as needed for a variety of access needs.

Train volunteer Ushers on seating the house.

Understand and manage emergency situations. Training will be provided on evacuation of the building, shelter in place situations, and fire safety.

Fill out and submit nightly reports summarizing the evening’s events.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess superb customer service skills, the ability to maintain calm under pressure, and an appreciation for theatre. TIPS or SERVE SAFE certification is required, and will be provided if not possessed. Experience with POS system SQUARE is helpful, but not necessary, as training will be provided.
This is a part-time position. While flexibility is a guarantee, night and weekend availability is a necessity. All candidates are expected to attend our Front of House meetings and dress rehearsals that take place the Wednesday before an opening and supply a minimum of two-three shifts per week of availability. We do also have the occasional student matinee, so please mention if you have weekday morning availability, specifically Tuesday-Thursday.
