2020-21 Season
To say a lot has changed in the months since you purchased your subscription would be an understatement. The health and safety of your loved ones, no doubt, has taken center stage in your mind and heart. Here at Central Square Theater, we think of you all the time and look forward to when we can, once again, gather together.
While our stage has been dark since we closed Pipeline and were fortunate to be able to move it to an online streaming platform, we have been busy. With our partners the Central Square Business Improvement District, The Dance Complex, and ImprovBoston, we operated Starlight Square, a socially-distanced, outdoor venue where audiences gathered to watch puppetry, live music, powerful theater, dance, and comedy. We are proud to have held a space for arts and culture and we look forward to next Spring when Starlight will reopen for outdoor performances in Central Square.
At this point, we expect to be producing in our own space in the Fall of 2021 and we wanted to update you on what we will be doing until then. As you know, our Women & Science Theater Festival was slated for January and February. We are now moving things online in April where we will take advantage of the opportunity to expand our investigation of inclusivity and intersectionality in science with a larger audience. There has been palpable excitement during our conversations and we look forward to sharing the details with you soon. We are also planning shows for the Fall, with an eye to what we missed producing due to COVID and what speaks to our communities now.
In the meantime, anyone who has questions should contact the box office at tickets@centralsquaretheater.org or 617-576-9278 x1.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Central Square Theater. We cannot wait for us all to be in the theater, again.
