Al-RowwadAl-Rowwad Center is an independent center for artistic, cultural, and theatre training for children in the Aida Refugee Camp in Bethlehem. Central to Al-Rowwad's curriculum is the idea that peace and hope must guide children's lives and that opposition to oppression is through creative non-violence, which they characterize as "beautiful resistance."

Al-Rowwad

The Al-Rowwad Theatre Troupe gained world-wide accolades when it recently performed for Pope Benedict XVI against the Separation Wall in the Aida Camp in Bethlehem.

The Palestinian actors will participate in a youth exchange with our own Youth Underground Ensemble, culminating in the performance of Blame the Wolf.

More about Blame the Wolf (see a YouTube video below!):

Blame the Wolf uses the material of classic fairy stories and deconstructs it to reveal
a content that is radically different from a first impression. What was considered as established
fact suddenly turns out to have been false all along and other backdrops come into view.
In other words, what is presented is an object lesson warning of the dangers of premature conclusions that are liable to be misleading.
